Creamy, Homemade Alfredo Sauce Recipe (Quick & Easy)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Grate or Shred the Cheese: Freshly grated Parmesan melts better and gives a smoother texture to the sauce.
  • Simmer the Butter and Cream: To a medium saucepan, add the butter and heavy cream. Simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes, allowing the butter to melt and the cream to warm.
  • Whisk in the Seasonings: Add the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Whisk to combine and infuse the flavors.
  • Incorporate the Cheese: Slowly add the cheese, 1/4 cup at a time, whisking continuously to incorporate each addition fully.
  • Finish the Sauce: Once all the cheese is added, continue to whisk the sauce until smooth. Remove from heat.
  • Serve: Pour the sauce into a mason jar or serving dish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
